The lodge was very comfortable and stylish, with plenty of room inside and outside. We were able to enjoy the safe outdoor space for the kids to play. the location was convenient for exploring the nearby Peak District and there were a couple of pubs serving food within a short distance. the lodge had good security measures in place with codes for access.
there were some maintenance issues in our lodge, including damage to the heater, water damage on the wall, a broken table and sofa, and an insecure electrical plug socket. the presence of a sewer smell outside also prevented us from opening the windows on one side.

The lodge had modern, comfortable beds and well-equipped bathrooms. the setting was beautiful and the heating was great for winter breaks. It felt like a home away from home, and there was plenty of space for entertainment, especially for families with young children. the double rooms provided ample space for adults to relax, and one of the bedrooms even had a TV, allowing us to unwind and enjoy some downtime. the location was easy to find and access, and the kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. it was a wonderful experience and we would have loved to stay longer.
Felt like a fairy tale, no complaints.

Our xmas stay at this lodge was fantastic! the spacious and cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. We loved the fact that the lodge had all the fixtures and fittings we needed, just like being at home. And the hot tub was a definite highlight, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Plus, the price was such great value for money, especially considering the lodge can accommodate up to 6 people. the location was also ideal, with beautiful views of green fields and mountains, yet still close to shops, restaurants, and pubs.

We stayed at Maple lodge for a short break and it exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail in the bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, and lounge was impressive. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the setting was beautiful. Despite being close to the rail track, the noise and vibrations didn't bother us. James, our helpful host, answered all our questions promptly, and check-in was a breeze. Our dog also enjoyed her stay. the lodge, staff, and location were perfect.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Despite some reviews mentioning the train, we didn't experience any noise issues. We arrived early, but James, the owner, was kind enough to let us in ahead of time. The lodge itself was modern and had excellent security doors. It was perfect for our short stay and for those who enjoy walking. we had a great experience at Shellow Lane Lodges.
One small inconvenience was having to bring our own towels. It would have been more convenient to pay a little extra for towel laundering or have the option to include it as an extra.
